The Harriman High School Band has enjoyed over 60 years of excellence since beginning in 1940 as the Harriman High Jaycee Band. If you are a visitor, please feel free to view our site, including the History and Photo pages. Band members and parents should find this a convenient site to check dates on the Calendar page or download forms and band related documents on the Forms page.
Our site is still under construction and may still have some dead links and pages filled with jibberish (click here to get the story on Lorem ipsum). Please excuse our mess until it is completed.
The 2007 band camp will be the week of July 30 - August 2 at Harriman High. One week prior to this, starting July 23, we will have pre-band camp Monday through Friday. Pre-camp time will be spent rehearsing music, practicing marching fundamentals, fitting uniforms, etc.
Again this summer, we will have open rehearsals on Mondays and Thursdays from 6-8 pm beginning June 14 and going through July 12.

| Cookie Dough Sale The band boosters will begin their annual cookie dough sale August 21 and it will continue through September 7. Start a list of family and friends who might be interested in cookie, fudge and candle products. The Classic Cookie Fundraising site can be found here if you would like to view their products before the sale. |

| Choo Choo Classic Marching Festival The Choo Choo Classic will be held October 6. This festival has been hosted by Hixson High School for many years and has become known as one of the premier festivals in East Tennessee. More information on the Choo Choo Classic may be found here. |

| State Division 1a Championship The State Div. 1a Championship began at Mt. Pleasant High School in 1978 for bands from schools with less than 480 enrollment. Mr. Ron Meers was the first host director. The contest has moved to several different schools over the years and now resides at Murfreesboro Riverdale High where Mr. Meers currently directs.
