•Attention Sophomores! Here is a scholarship for you!! The EnergySolutions Foundation scholarship program is a merit based scholarship competition awarded to one 10th grade student per high school each year. Students selected will receive a $2,000 scholarship to complete a 4 yr degree in the field of math, science, or engineering. Student must have and maintain a 3.5 GPA in high school and also be active in their high school. The deadline is January 31st! If you are a senior or a parent of a graduating senior this year planning on attending a college or technical school next year, this is a must attend meeting for you! Joy Goldberg, the Director of Financial Aid at Roane State Community College will be here to discuss financial aid opportunities for you. We will discuss applying for loans, grants, scholarships, as well as information on all of the Tennessee Lottery Scholarship opportunities. This is traditionally a great event that is well attended every year! Please make plans to attend!!! Refreshments will be served sponsored by our HHS FCCLA club.

•Sophomores/Juniors! If you are interested in applying to any of the Tennessee Governor’s Schools for next summer you need to stop by the Guidance Office and get an application. The applications are due the first couple of weeks in November.
• Students / Parents: Trenton Street Baptist Church is offering an After School Tutoring Program at the church's Youth Center. It will be open every Tuesday & Wednesday after school till 6:00 p.m.. Other times may be scheduled by appointment.

B&W Y-12 Scholarship
-Graduating senior planning on studying science, math, or pre-engineering at either Roane State Community College or Pellissippi State. Must have a 3.0 GPA minimum for eligibility. Amount is $1,500.00 one-time award.
Deadline is March 6th, postmarked.

Gail Clay Scholarship
Student must be a child of a full-time, non-exempt employee of the University of Tennessee OR other state-supported, public higher education institution located in East Tennessee. Amount is $1,500.00 per year renewable for four years.

Berea College, Berea, KY
Scholarship available to Berea College for students that meet the following criteria:
Rank in the top 20% of their class, Score between 20-30 on the ACT Composite, shown commitment to service in the community, & meet Berea’s financial qualifications (Generally, a family income of $50,000 or less)
Berea is driven by their mission to enroll high achieving students with limited family resources and award each of them their four-year tuition scholarship, currently valued at more than $100,000. Contact Mr. Mashburn for details!
University of Tennessee @ Chattanooga Grote Chemistry Scholarship- Anyone interested in attending UTC majoring in chemistry, pre-med, and pre-dentistry who have been accepted and have a high school GPA of 3.5 or better and a 26 ACT/1170 SAT or better need to apply.

Stan & Thelma Plumlee Scholarship: Sponsored by the Tennessee Manufactured Housing Association in memory of the Plumlees. This is a 4 year scholarship totally $8,000.
