Important Stuff
1.) Please remember that student workbooks are non-replaceable. If the workbook is lost/stolen I cannot replace it. For each day that students do not have their workbook in class when it is needed, a copy will be provided but ten points will be deducted. Students may not leave class after the bell to get their workbook. Workbooks are issued in the same manner as textbooks and must be returned if a student withdraws from class.
2.) Each day that a student does not have a book cover or folder will result in a one hour detention.
3.) Prefix quizzes are every Friday
4.) Extra credit is available every Friday.
5.) If you send an email through this website, you must include a return address since it does not show up on your message.
6.) All assignments are to be completed in pencil
7.) If there is any way that I may be of assistance, please feel free to contact me at any time .
8.) Students are responsible for making up all missed assignments before school, after school or during activity period. The school handbook states that missed assignments are to be made up in a timely manner that does not interfere with current classroom activities. Please make arrangements with Ms. Yarborough in advance.
9.) Papers are usually returned once a week. Once papers have been returned, students are not allowed to make them up. Please refer to the student handbook for policies regarding make-up work.
10.) If a student wishes to re-take a chapter test in order to make a higher grade, he or she may do so within five days of the original test being returned. The new test and the old test will be averaged in a 75% / 25% manner where the new test counts 75% of the recorded chapter test grade. All tests count twice and quizzes (which cannot be made up) count once.
