70x25

Roane County Schools is joining Roane County Government, Roane Alliance, and TN Achieves to promote the  Roane 70x25 project - an effort to reach 70% college attendance starting with the class of 2025. This "College going" includes two year, 4 year, TCAT, and Apprenticeship programs.

Yesterday, members of the Junior class attended the kick-off event at Roane State Community College. They heard from guest speakers Randy Boyd, President of UTK. Knox County Mayor, Glenn Jacobs, Dr. Stephen Streiffer with ORNL, Danice Turpin from TCAT Harriman, and our Director of Schools Russell Jenkiins. Students were encouraged to continue their education by attending a post-secondary institution that will not only bring them success, but enable them to be an intricate part in building a thriving economy for our county.
