On Monday, the 23rd of February, DECA is hosting a Career and Technical Education (CTE) visit for the 8th graders of Harriman Middle School. This is a new twist on our CTE career fair.
Harriman High School offers six CTE classes, including Criminal Justice, HVAC, Teaching as a Profession, Marketing Management, Nursing Services, and Engineering. HMS students will rotate through Harriman High School that day to learn about the CTE classes and opportunities we offer. This is an interactive experience where participants can earn prizes, play games, and speak with high school students in those classes. A few Harriman High School students will be chosen as CTE representatives for their class. These students have the opportunity to teach and influence incoming freshmen to enroll in CTE classes.
