The Harriman Police Department will offer a FREE Driver Safety Course for high school students on Saturday, February 25, and Saturday, March 4, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Harriman Municipal Building (Police Dept, Training Room - 1st Floor).  Contact the Harriman Police Department to sign up for either session or for more information at 865-882-3383.

This course is designed to raise awareness of drunk/drugged driving,
provide safe driving instruction, and promote safe driving within the
community. The course will be broken into two parts, a classroom
portion, and a driving portion. A valid driver’s license is not required
to attend this course. The driving portion will be completed using golf
carts in the parking lot of the Harriman Municipal Building under the
close supervision of law enforcement instructors. Students need to
dress appropriately for weather conditions since part of the
instruction will be taking place outside. A liability waiver will need to
be completed by the student’s parent or guardian prior to attendance.
Certificates will be provided upon completion of the course to all
students who participate.
