The Yearbook Staff needs baby pictures of the Class of 2024 ASAP! These pictures will be used on the baby picture page for the annual. You can send a digital copy to Coach Rather at wrather@roaneschools.com and be sure to include the student's name in the subject line. If you want to use a hard copy, send it with your student and it will be scanned and returned. Be sure to have their name on the back of the photo. Please get these turned in ASAP. Sophomores will be taking the Pre-ACT tomorrow morning (Thursday, January 11, 2024). Students need to ensure that they arrive to school on time. The scores from the test will be used for Middle College and Dual Enrollment courses next school year Good luck to our 10th grade students!
Class of 2024, do not forget that tomorrow (Wednesday, January 10) are your cap and gown portraits! Please see Coach Rather's Google Classroom post for your assigned time and other information.
Juniors will be taking the ASVAB tomorrow morning (Tuesday, January 9, 2024). Please be on time and have your Chromebook fully charged. Testing locations are based on last name and are posted in the OSHS Student Google Classroom so please check there for your testing location!

Attention Class of 2024 SENIORS and Senior Parents:
Part of the TN Promise requirement is to complete the FAFSA by April 15, 2024. We will be having a FAFSA night on January 29th in the library from 5:00-7:00 (drop in) to help get this requirement done. BUT beforehand, the student AND the parent(s) need to have a FSA ID created. This process could take up to 7 days to be verified. Please go ahead and follow the steps on the document (also sent home with students on 1/4) to get this step done ahead of the FAFSA night. Mrs. Jones will be at school on January 16th until 5:30 if anyone needs help with this. You may reach out to her as well anytime for help by calling the school or emailing her at jejones@roaneschools.com.
Another requirement of TN Promise is the MANDATORY meeting, which will be held January 23 at 3:50 in the library.
