Our high school teachers recently had the unique opportunity to visit nuclear facilities and research sites in Oak Ridge, including a visit to the new Nuclear Lab at Roane State Community College (RSCC). This experience allowed our educators to gain firsthand insight into cutting-edge technologies, career pathways in nuclear science and energy, and the many educational opportunities available to our students right here in East Tennessee.

From learning about isotope research to exploring workforce programs at RSCC, this tour equips our teachers with valuable knowledge to bring back to the classroom—helping to inspire and inform the next generation of scientists, engineers, and skilled technicians.

We’re excited about the future and proud to connect our students with real-world opportunities in science and technology!
